We are a game store, and anytime a special console comes in, we always use this site to try and find out what it is! It also helps make some of the longer days pass! Thank you so much for all the

Great place to look at the different variants of consoles. I'm an avid collector and buy broken consoles to repair for my collection. This website has helped me find replacement shells for consoles
as I want to have as close to an official consoles shell as possible, so this website helps me choose the versions that are almost identical, and not something that will be custom.

Amazing site and I enjoy seeing the different variants every consoles had. But when looking at the GBC page I saw a spelling mistake. The text by the Tommy Hillfinger Game Boy Color says that it was
only available at Hommy Hillfinger ships. My guess is that it should be Tommy Hillfinger shops.

I'm a huge fan of collecting for Nintendo, and I'm slowly branching out. I've had some WonderSwans before, and was elated to find you were adding a section for Bandai a while back. One thing I'd love
to have included, as I've just started collecting for it, is the PC-Engine and the TurboGrafx-16. I know there are a few variations, and would love to know what else I need to find for my collection.
I can't wait for that Bandai section, but if you can't think of what to do next, my vote is Hudson.

Hello friend and fellow enthusiast...I too am an extremely passionate Video Game collector with Zelda being the crown jewel of my hobby and passion but I love all Video games...including Legend of
the Dragoon, silent hill, kingdom hearts, resident Evil, castlevania, final Fantasy, bioshock, tomb raider, Persona, Dragon Quest, fable, God of War, mega man, The Last of Us and for goodness sakes
SO MUCH MORE Because that barely scratched the surface and your site has helped me so much by Offering amazing and detailed information about systems that I didn’t even know existed and now thanks to
your site I have discovered Zelda themed systems that I never knew existed which makes them almost impossible to find but now I have a goal to hunt them down and God Willing add them to my memorial
to outstanding, absolutely amazing, and life changing collection for the people but unfortunately it is only for the systems themselves and as greatful as that is this site can bring so much more to
all of us collectors and passionate video game players such as controller’s, memorabilia, collectibles, items that no normal man could possibly ever find and I said that because I hunt every day and
within 10 minutes of being on your site I found four Zelda consoles I never knew existed and I have 11 systems myself and one day soon I will start using the knowledge I have gained from your site to
hunt those consoles down and purchase them and I firmly believe that if you guys could really step up your game and take it extremely serious then this website will easily become 100,000,000,000
times better than it is now by branching out to other things than just systems then you’ll be even a bigger success then you could possibly imagine...I wish that you could expand to all of the rare
and Collectable controllers, accessories, collectibles, strategy guides, memorabilia, magazines and anything else video Game related plus so much more....now legally I am not a businessman but I am a
very successful and serious collector and not to mention a video game enthusiast that knows his stuff better than most parents know their own children...I am very passionate about my collections and
I have been doing this for 24 of my 33 years alive and I have literally made over 500 purchases on eBay alone and probably 1,550 total online meaning 2000 purchases or more altogether and around
1,200 sales and trades plus my personal collection exceeds 5,500 individual and pristine video Game relics so hopefully that can somewhat prove that I am very skilled and talented and I know exactly
what collectors want and you are so close but just not quite there.... I pray that you take my advice seriously because if you do I see great things in your future ... I will leave you my email
alexismyangel@yahoo.com
Plus to prove her Siri so I am I will leave my phone number if you would like to speak or text rather than email I am fine with it...580-977-4903
Please email or call me letting me know if there’s anything I can do to help your site expand into greatness because right now it may be great but with Hard work, passion. dedication and effort this
site could possibly be one of the best videogame informational sights of all time so will you please contact me with as much information as possible and frankly anything that you would like to say or
discuss And let me know what I can do to help because I have accumulated thousands of ideas, plans and strategies from a lengthy career as a very serious collector, buyer, seller and dedicated game
enthusiast and I guarantee that I know what other collectors want from a website like this and I guarantee you can turn this website into something amazing... I am going to pray that you get back
with me about any information at all whether it’s good news or bad news or just to talk but I have faith that your website could possibly help millions of Collectors and make you EXTREMELY WEALTHY
and There is no doubt in my mind that I am correct about this...thank you very much and God bless
P.S. please contact me even if you want nothing to do with me...just please don’t leave me wondering...thanks again and you have my upmost respect And I will promise you that you will not be
disappointed you will be thrilled thanks again and God And I will promise you that you will not be disappointed you will be thrilled thanks again and God bless

Hello. First off, I want to start by saying I love this site! I am a collector and have been looking for a site like this for a long time. I appreciate the effort that has went into making this site!
I was wondering if the template you used for this site can be downloaded as a pdf or something so that fellow collectors could make thier own lists for things that they are personally interested in.
Thanks!

Hey, just randomly stumbled upon this site and saw you had one of my Gamecube pictures on there. Made me feel super cool, appreciate it. It was the "Thanks ATI Gamecube" If you'd like better pictures
let me know, also underneath the jewel is an ArtX sticker with the Dolphin logo. ArtX being the company ATI aquired I think around 2002, maybe earlier. Also as far as I can tell only two of these
exist, one being indigo ( mine ) and another in the Jet Black. Feel free to email me at nick.s.delieto@gmail.com

This site is amazing! I'm working on research for every 3DS variant that exists and this site is incredibly helpful. As someone who currently has 9 different 3DS systems (across all models), it's
nice to be able to compare it with every other variant that exists--and even better, to know exactly how many variants do exist, and how many of the rarest ones there are. Great job on the catalog,
and I look forward to coming back again and again!

I have been searching some blogs on cloud systems and i have gone through blogs on blogs.advids.co they are to easy to understand and the most of all. They have all subject related blogs. Just have a
look.
This site is great guys. I'm using it as a reference for the site I am working on right now. Keep up the good work guys. One thing though. It would be great if you'd do different console box art
variations. I.E. NES Had a lot more variations based on what was packaged with it per store and what not. You guys should include those too.

*Wall of text warning*
In the Sega Dreamcast consoles section, there's an entry currently titled "Sega Dreamcast: Sakura Taisen Specialty Store" (would be nice to have anchor tags for your site if feasible).
https://www.consolevariations.com/sega/sega-dreamcast/sega-dreamcast-console-variations/
I highly believe this to be a display unit for the "Taisho Romando" store, the official Sakura Taisen goods shop in Japan. Whether or not the unit was offered for sale, and how many were made, I
cannot say but at the very least it was created for the store.
More info on the shop:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakura_Wars#Retail_store
http://hg101.kontek.net/sakurataisen/sakurataisen7.htm (last paragraph of the Legacy section)
What these articles miss is that there was a second shop opened in Shinsaibashi. The text on the Dreamcast says that it was to commemorate the grand opening of the Shinsaibashi shop on Dec 11,
1999.
The Taisho Romando logo on the Dreamcast (and controller) can be matched with the logo on the shop's official website:
http://sakura-taisen.com/romando/
Because of the time period in which the Sakura Taisen series takes place, the text in the logo is actually written right-to-left (堂漫浪正太) despite being written horizontally, to give a historic vibe to
it.
The topmost line of text on the Dreamcast is the date followed by Taisho Romando written left-to-right (1999.12.11 太正浪漫堂).
The second line says "Shinsaibashi Store Grand Opening Commemoration" (心斎橋店 開店記念).
As proof that a second shop existed at all, here's a page from official website wherein the third paragraph states that the Shinsaibashi shop reached its third anniversary on December 2002 (matching
up with the Dec 1999 date on the Dreamcast):
http://sakura-taisen.com/romando/shop.html
(ゲーム同様、ファンの皆様に支えられ、池袋本店は2003年6月に五周年、心斎橋店は2002年12月に三周年を迎えました。)
Currently your Quick Facts section for this console says:
- Console released in Japan
- Pink colored console with the Sakura Taisen text on top.
- 1 known (not known how many are made)
- currently investigating the source
- Unit is currently displayed in a store in japan.
Suggested revision:
- Console released in Japan
- Pink colored console with the Taisho Romando logo on top.
- 1 known (not known how many are made)
- Created to commemorate the grand opening of the Shinsaibashi branch of the Sakura Taisen goods store, Taisho Romando.
- Unit was displayed in store.

Loving the hell out of this site, loving your dedication and devotion!
However, I too have to say that the Sony section is lacking. For it to be perfect, you'd have to list all the different SCPH-revisions. The SCPH-90000 line of production, the final version of the
slim PS2, noticably looks different from all the other slim PS2 revisions.
One note: on page https://www.consolevariations.com/nintendo/snes/snes-controller-variations/ the first picture is not a Super Famicom controller, but rather a European SNES controller.

We are a game store, and anytime a special console comes in, we always use this site to try and find out what it is! It also helps make some of the longer days pass! Thank you so much for all the effort put into here!

Great place to look at the different variants of consoles. I'm an avid collector and buy broken consoles to repair for my collection. This website has helped me find replacement shells for consoles as I want to have as close to an official consoles shell as possible, so this website helps me choose the versions that are almost identical, and not something that will be custom.

Hi, don't know if it's been mentioned but there was an atari ST which was a console/pc crossover and don't forget about that Amstrad console which showed its self for a while.
Pat Daly (Thursday, 24 January 2019 11:31)
Super awesome web site!
Ricardo R (Wednesday, 23 January 2019 21:19)
It's a great site. Fun way to go back to the past! I believe all remember the little kid in front of TV spending hours and hours on these games consoles. Mine: NES, N64, Xbox, Xbox 360 and now a PS4 Slim!
suruzal (Wednesday, 23 January 2019 19:54)
Commodore Amiga CD32 was a console ahead of its time. First 32 bit console I believe. No entry for Commodore
Mike Holmes (Wednesday, 23 January 2019 19:28)
A Sega handheld not listed is a SEGA Nomad !! But good to see the documentation !!
blastdragon (Wednesday, 23 January 2019 17:50)
Amazing site and I enjoy seeing the different variants every consoles had. But when looking at the GBC page I saw a spelling mistake. The text by the Tommy Hillfinger Game Boy Color says that it was only available at Hommy Hillfinger ships. My guess is that it should be Tommy Hillfinger shops.
Danny Vargas (Wednesday, 23 January 2019 17:34)
Awesome job, I like seeing unique versions of consoles.
Julian Del Balso (Wednesday, 23 January 2019 08:30)

Jeffrey B (Wednesday, 23 January 2019 04:21)
Really looking forward to the site getting updated! I've been using this site to spot check some console variations for a while and am looking forward to it hopefully being a 'definitive' site for cataloging all of the different versions of consoles!

Just saw the video about the golden Wii and was amazed at finally seeing another collector who has the Nintendo 64 Funtastic suitcase with the six consoles in it. Would love to hear more stories about that one :)

I'm a huge fan of collecting for Nintendo, and I'm slowly branching out. I've had some WonderSwans before, and was elated to find you were adding a section for Bandai a while back. One thing I'd love to have included, as I've just started collecting for it, is the PC-Engine and the TurboGrafx-16. I know there are a few variations, and would love to know what else I need to find for my collection. I can't wait for that Bandai section, but if you can't think of what to do next, my vote is Hudson.

I have an Xbox one with the charger and console both labeled as "Prototype" at the bottom of the console. Looks like a standard black Xbox one. Any clues?
I searched everywhere but Prototype the game keeps popping up on my searches!

Thanks!
Garog (Tuesday, 02 October 2018 17:06)
Incredible website, totally discovered this place by accident.
There's an extremely overwhelming level of documenting here, I spent roughly 3 hours looking through records of consoles.
I think you have (intended or not) made me into a wannabe console and videogame merch collector!
Amp (Sunday, 30 September 2018 02:17)
I'm wondering if the Game Boy Advance SP came in Indigo color? The Wikipedia (as trusted as they are) has a listing under Limited Edition Colors (Indigo (AUS, 2004)).
Brais (Monday, 10 September 2018 19:32)
Hi, the Pokémon Red & Blue New 3DS's are missing and the red-black New 3DS XL that comes in the Mario Kart bundle didn't come out in Europe, only South Korea and Japan, Europe got the same bundle but the 3DS on it is green-black, no red-black.

I am very impressed with this website! Going through all the archives of different console variants is very fascinating. It's very nice to see pictures of the rare systems you may read about on the internet, or discover completely new ones! Even though it's a work in progress, the archive is very informative and dense with content. I can't wait to see it grow in the future!
